Location: 7700 County Road 18, Cottam in the Town of ESSEX. It is approximately 12 kilometers south of the Essex Bypass (Hwy 3) using Arner Townline (County Road 23) to County Road 18 (Concession 7). From the City of Windsor, take Walker Road (County Road 11) south to the bend and turn east on County Road 18. Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:45 pm and If your vehicle is under the restricted weight of 3000 kg, you are welcome to use the Windsor Public Drop Off Depot or Transfer Station No. 2 near Leamington. TARP POLICYNo vehicle shall be permitted to enter the Site with an uncovered or unsecured load of waste. Any vehicle entering the Site with an uncovered or unsecured load shall be subject to the following procedures: 1. 1st Incident The driver/company of the vehicle will be given a verbal warning. 2. 2nd Incident The driver of the vehicle/company will be given a written warning and the load will be charged at 1 ½ times the full tipping fee for the load. 3. 3rd Incident The driver/company will be banned from the site for an indefinite period which will be not less than 3 months. To re-institute disposal privileges, the generator will be required to make a direct appeal to the Authority. 4. Prior to any vehicle entering the site with an uncovered or unsecured load of waste, the scale clerk shall record the make, type and license plate number of the vehicle and a general description of the waste. |
