Christmas Tree Recycling

Ever wondered what happens to all those evergreen trees decorating people's homes during the Christmas season? Well, they are recycled back into the environment, they are not garbage!

Trees are run through the chipping machine and turned into compost, so all decorations, tree skirts and plastic tree bags must be REMOVED. Thanks for your help.

Town of Amherstburg (Amherstburg, Anderdon, Malden)
Saturday, January 2nd & 9th, place curbside the night before.

Essex
Contact your municipal office 519-776-7336 or watch for a notification in the local newspapers.

Town of Kingsville (Kingsville, Gosfield N. & Gosfield S.) Remove all decorations, tree skirts and plastic tree bags. Collection is available Mon., Jan. 5th (place tree curbside on the night prior).

Town of LaSalle Call 519-969-7770 for details and options on the drop off locations available for your tree.

Town of Leamington (Leamington / Mersea)
January 11th & 12th. Please place your tree curbside the night prior to your pick up date.
