FAQ...
Why do I have to have my recycle boxes out at the curb "the night before or prior to 6 AM"? My driver ALWAYS collects our street at 2:00 in the afternoon!
Answer...
Sure, your current driver may come down your street for several months at exactly the same time each collection day so you may wish to sleep in or delay putting out your boxes until after lunch. Bad idea! Why? For various reasons...
- Collection schedules change at a moment's notice. Your regular driver may be ill causing his route to be done either at the beginning of the day by another driver or at the end of the day split by several drivers.
- Causing a driver to back track for your late box delays the entire route for the day.
- Icy roads, thunderstorms, snow or other inclement weather conditions can delay a driver's regular routine or cause him to modify the route depending on the progress of the Municipal or City road crews.
- Construction zones & road obstacles may necessitate a change in the route in order to complete it on schedule.
