City of Windsor Residents: If you have a scheduled recycling collection for this week, it will be collected. Recycling collection has resumed. If you did not receive recycling collection last week, please bring your recycling inside, and place out on your next scheduled recycling day.

City of Windsor Residents:

The Public Drop Off Depot will be accepting ‘flood waste garbage’ free of charge for two more days – Fri., September 15th and Sat., September 16th. Commencing Mon., September 18th all garbage (including flood waste garbage) will be charged at regular rates. Click on link in yellow for more information.

Residents, please be advised that the City of Windsor has cancelled RECYCLING collection  on Friday (September 8th) and Saturday (September 9th) in order to concentrate on flood related clean up.

 

 
> Asbestos Disposal

Asbestos Disposal

Asbestos is a hazardous material and requires special attention.

The Regional Landfill can only receive asbestos from a licensed waste hauler, registered with the MOECC. The Regional Landfill does not accept asbestos from residential customers. Residential customers can call restoration companies, or local waste haulers for the removal of asbestos.

Commercial customers can contact the Regional Landfill at 519-776-7941 for an appointment and/or more information.

Recycling Collection Delayed

Attention Essex and Amherstburg residents! Residents in the Municipality of Essex  that were not collected on Thursday, August 31st will be collected on Friday, September 1st. Please leave your boxes curbside for collection. Amherstburg residents can expect delays in recycling collection on Friday, September 1st. Please leave your recycling out for collection through Saturday, September 2nd. Thank you for your patience and consideration.

The recycling collection for the Municipality of Amherstburg will not be entirely completed on Friday, July 21, 2017. Residents are encouraged to leave the recycling curbside as the trucks will be in the area Saturday, July 22nd to complete the routes.

No plastic bags (of any type or any colour) in your recycle boxes. Plastic bags cause major issues with our processing lines at the recycling plants. Thanks for your assistance!
