Role Snapshot

Reporting to the Manager, Waste Diversion, the position is responsible for overseeing various Reduce/Reuse/Recycle and Compost programs with a primary focus on the new green bin waste collection program. The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the green bin collection program across multiple municipalities. The position ensures high-quality, contract-compliant service delivery by third-party contractors and monitors key performance metrics. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring service performance, investigating and resolving operational issues to ensure the effective delivery of the Green Bin Waste Collection Program. They will be responsible for overseeing the Green Bin Repair and Request Program, handling customer service-related matters, and ensuring that contamination levels remain within acceptable limits. Additionally, the role requires providing general facility oversight and supervision as needed to support the operations of the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA).
