Reasons For No Recycling Collection
If you have not received recycling collection, below are some common reasons:
Was an Oops Sticker on your box - explaining why it was not collected? If you have an Oops Sticker - it will indicate the reason your boxes were not collected.
Only Blue / Red Boxes and properly labeled recycling carts with the North American lifting mechanism are accepted for curbside collection.
Was your material properly separated at the curb? Paper in the Red Box/Cart and containers in the Blue Box/Cart? Do you have items in your recycling that are not acceptable materials?
Did you have any oversized cardboard out? Cardboard has to be broken down, no larger than 30" x 30".
Were your containers overfilled/too heavy? Any box over 45lb (20kg) will not be picked up.
Plastic bags are banned from recycling collection. If your recycling contained plastic bags it will not be picked up.
If your recycling contains too many items that are not "acceptable materials", it will not be picked up.
