Depot Fees and Frees

ALL EWSWA SITES: Effective immediately, the EWSWA is offering a ‘grace period’ for residents using double-axle trailers to drop off yard waste branches from the recent storm, so that they will NOT be charged a fee during this time

The grace period will run until the end of the day on September 30, 2026, or until otherwise instructed. Commercial customers will continue to be charged during this period.

Branch and tree trunk size restrictions still apply; size restrictions are as follows:

The size of the stump (diameter and length) will determine whether it is accepted and the cost.

  • Stumps (under 18" in diameter, less than 48" long) - accepted as yard waste – Free
  • Stumps (over 18" in diameter, but less than 36" in diameter, less than 48" long) - accepted as garbage – and will be charge at the garbage rate
  • Stumps (over 36" in diameter, longer than 48") – not accepted

At the Public Drop Off and Transfer Station #2 some materials are "free" to drop off and some materials you will be charged a "fee" to drop off.

Note: The Regional Recycling Depot is not included in the information below as it only accepts materials for recycling from residents - free of charge. However, there are fees for some materials that are dropped off at Regional Recycling Depot.

Refer to the Hours of Operation page for hours and holiday schedule.
